Seneca Mural

September 29, 2022

Reciprocity: is to share, exchange and collaborate between and among people, animals, water, rocks and plants. At the core of reciprocity is the acknowledgement there is no hierarchy among all these material manifestations of culture, history, and biology: all are entangled and dependent.

Seven murals are in process at the @senecacollege Newnham campus, guided by First Peoples’ teachings. The murals envision a system of harmony between humans, plants, animals, rocks, and water, each with its purpose and design and representing how Anishinaabe teachings can apply.

Mother is Sufi, Sufi is mother

May 1, 2022

In this piece, I am attempting to show A mother figure while she is dancing the Sufi whirling dervish. They said a Sufi could become one with God while dancing the whirling dervish and creating everything.

Mother is the creator, and she is always dancing and dancing, and with her dance, she creates lives and everything around their children.

This artwork was accepted at the DRAWING 2022 Exhibition in The John B. Aird Gallery of Toronto, Juried by CHRISTIAN SIROYT and MARLI DAVIS.

The Butterfly Story

November 4, 2021

In this piece, I am attempting to show A traditional poetic story within the national frame of the Persian carpet. A love story between 2 butterflies and a flower. Competition between two ancient wisdom; the power of the youth and the knowledge of the old.

This artwork was accepted on The FLORALS 2021 Exhibition in The John B. Aird Gallery of Toronto, Juried by TAIGA BENTLY.

Modern Sufism

March 27, 2021

With this piece, I am attempting to show modernity versus traditions. No matter where humans live, modernity will overcome traditional beliefs slowly but constantly.

Cyber-humans grow so upgraded that they eventually become trusted within the heart of one of the oldest religious. However, some people still have resistance to have faith in the cybernetic generation.

This artwork was accepted on The Drawing 2021 Exhibition in The John B. Aird Gallery of Toronto, Juried by Steve Khan and Neda Omidvar.

Dog Days!

July 8, 2020

This is the artwork (the right column) that accepted on Dog Days on-line exhibition which will be started mid-August 2020 in The John B. Aird Gallery of Toronto.

The DOG DAYS art book will remain upon the gallery’s PUBLICATION page found here thereafter.

“The more I learn about people, the more I like my dog.” – Mark Twain

Jonathan Swift suggested that every dog has its day and the Aird Gallery is celebrating those days this summer. We have lived with dogs for thousands of years. Over time dogs have adapted themselves to our needs and desires and at the same time, they have been changing us – largely for the better. Our deep and complex relationship with dogs, on a personal, cultural, and biological level, has been an important subject for art practice from the beginning.

CURATOR BIO

Matthew Brower is a writer and curator who teaches in the Museum Studies Program at the University of Toronto. He is the author of Developing Animals: Early North American Wildlife Photography and excellent exhibitions.

JUROR BIO

David Liss is a curator, writer and artist living in Toronto, Canada. He is currently Adjunct Curator at the Museum of Contemporary Art Toronto Canada, and was Director and Curator from December 2000 through 2015. Since August 2019 he is also Curator and Programmer for Arsenal, a privately owned network of galleries in Toronto, Montreal and New York.

With this series, I am attempting to show that over thousands of years, dogs are still loyal to us and they will be loyal as long as humans exist.

Follow your dream

March 26, 2020

Even if my dream so fantasies that everyone told me " Not make sense", I should follow it. I live only one time (despite other beliefs) and by following my dream I never regret to myself that I could choose the path leading to it and I didn't. By the power of will, I'll let you know that every single particle in this universe will bow to your will for you to succeed. I just need to accept it, believe in it, and then do it. These are the principle of being, like being an artist.
